Ted R. Jones

Mr. Ted R. Jones age 76 of Greenroad, KY departed this life on Tuesday, February 14, 2017 at his home. He was the husband of Virginia Louise (Smith) Jones and the son of Chester and Ethel Jones born to them on September 19, 1940. He believed in the Baptist Faith and had worked as a tree trimmer for the road department.

         He is preceded in death by his parents, Chester and Ethel Jones, two infant children, four brothers, Denver, Terrell, McKinley and Ralph Jones and one sister, Hattie Rowland.

         Left behind to mourn his passing, his loving wife of fifty-one years, Virginia Louise Jones, two sons, Teddy Jones and Phillip Jones and wife Jennifer all of Greenroad, seven grandchildren, Justin Jones and wife Julia of London, Codi Jones Proffitt and husband Chris of London, Rick Tyler Jones and Kimberly Deanna Jones of Corbin, Brandon Reed, Emily Reed and Jillian Reed of Greenroad, two great grandchildren, Amelia Proffitt and Ellee Jones, two brothers, Bill Jones of Greenroad and Robert Jones and wife Cheryl of Illinois, two sisters, Isabell Barker and husband Ken of Louisville, Texas and Phyllis Hubbard of Bimble. He also leaves behind a host of many other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.

         Funeral services for Mr. Ted Jones will be conducted in the Cobb-Hampton Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, February 17, 2017 at 1:00 P.M. with Rev. Bart Smith and Rev. Mark Gibbs officiating. Pallbearears will be family & friends. Burial will follow in the Pound Mill Cemetery at Greenroad. Cobb-Hampton Funeral Home will be in charge of all arrangements.

Friends will be received at the Cobb-Hampton Funeral Home on Thursday evening after 6:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. and on Friday after 10:00 A.M. until the hour of service at 1:00 P.M.
