Mrs. Rosie Brown, age 90, of Bimble, KY passed away Tuesday, May 9, 2017 at the Barbourville ARH Hospital.  She was the daughter of Barbara and Daw Brown born to them on September 7, 1926 in Scalf, KY.  She attended the Old Ark House of Prayer.  She was a homemaker, loved to cook, enjoyed fishing and loved gardening and her beautiful flowers. 

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Bradley Brown, her infant son Roscoe Brown, her infant daughter Vinie Brown, her two brothers Eugene Brown, Garret Brown and her sister Viola Brown, her half sister Argie Preston, her half brothers Preston Brown, Gilbert Brown, Obie Brown and Evie Brown among other loved ones and dear friends.

She is survived by her loving children Gladys Epperson and husband James of Bimble, KY, Phyllis Henson and husband Keith of Bimble, KY, Versie Gray and husband Arville of Bimble, KY, Amos Brown of Bimble, KY, Willis Brown and wife Phyllis of Bimble, KY, Willie Brown and wife Karen of Corbin, KY, and Ronnie Brown of Bimble, KY, her stepdaughter Frances Bradford and husband Ray of Corbin, KY she loved her as her own, her sister Martha Grubb and husband Tommy of Barbourville, KY, her half sister Margaret Miller of Scalf, KY, her half brothers Daw, Jr., Roger, Ernest and Johnny Brown all of Scalf, KY and Virgil Brown of Pineville, KY. 

She also leaves behind 17 grandchildren and 33 great grandchildren whom she loved dearly.  She also loved her Church family and her Pastor Charles Eversole and his wife Mary and her dear friend Brenda Carter. 

Her funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, May 13, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in the Cobb Hampton Funeral Home Chapel with Charles Eversole and Charles Hensley officiating.  She will be laid to rest in the Brown Cemetery in Bimble, KY.  Visitation will be open to the public on Thursday, May 11 from 6-9 p.m., Friday, May 12 from 9 a.m. until 9 p.m. and Saturday, May 13 from 9 a.m. until the hour of service at 2 p.m.

Pallbearers will be Jason Baker, James Brewer, Keith Henson, Dylan Carnes, Chris Smith, her great-grandsons Caleb Brewer, Jeremiah Belcher and Tyler Cox.  Honorary Pallbearer will be her special great-grandson, Braxton, who she called her baby.  He always made her smile and she enjoyed watching him play. 

The family would like to thank the staff of Pineville Community Hospital, Dr. Mohan and his staff, and the Barbourville ARH Hospital staff, and Knox County Home Health.
