James Shelton

James Shelton, age 57 of Barbourville, passed away on Friday, February 24, 2017 in the Barbourville Appalachian Regional Hospital. He was born on Sunday, March 22, 1959 in Barbourville, a son of Roosevelt Shelton and Wilma Bargo Shelton. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by two sons, Travis Shelton and Adam Shelton.

James is survived by his loving daughter, Jessica Kulisek of Barbourville; his brothers: Rex Rice, Roy Rice and Donald Rice; Four sisters: Kathleen Bay (Pete,) Judy Mills, Doris Lane (Richard) and Leona Warfield. He is also survived by his four grandchildren: Paige, Michael, Katlyn and Cody.

Funeral services for James Shelton, will be conducted on Tuesday, February 28, 2017 at 2:00 P.M. in the Cobb-Hampton Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Glen Collins officiating. Burial will follow in the Bays Cemetery in Bell County with Dewey Gibson, Finley Maiden, Jody Marsee, Johnathon Marsee, Roy Rice and Rex Rice serving as pallbearers.

Friends will be received at the Cobb-Hampton Funeral Home on Monday, February 27, 2017 after 6:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M and on Tuesday, after 10:00 A.M. until the funeral hour at 2:00 P.M.
