Hester Holt

Mrs. Hester Holt age 90 of Artemus, KY departed this life on Wednesday, December 21, 2016 at her home. She was the widow of William Holt and the daughter of the late Floyd and Maggie (McKinney) Merida born to them on October 5, 1926 in Artemus, KY. She was a member of the Barbourville Church of God and was a homemaker.
She is preceded in death by her husband and parents, five sisters, June Bartolo, Rosie Sowders, Chelsia Lambert, Mildred McFarland and Delina Jordan, four brothers, Hubert, Hobert, Lee and James Merida. 
Survivors include three sons, Roger Holt and wife Delores and Ricky Holt all of Artemus and Larry Holt and wife Freda of Brownstown, Michigan, one daughter, Maggie Darlene Mills and husband Billy Ray of Boone Height, KY, seven grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren. She also leaves behind a host of many other relatives and friends to mourn her passing. 
Funeral services for Mrs. Hester Holt will be conducted on Wednesday, December 28, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at the Barbourville Church of God in Artemus. Rev. Sylvester Dunn, Rev. Dr. Bobby Drew Lawson and Rev. Jeff Warren will be officiating. Pallbearers will be, all members of the Barbourville Church of God. She will be laid to rest in the William Holt Cemetery at Artemus, KY. Hampton Funeral Home will be in charge of all arrangements. 
Friends will be received at the Hampton Funeral Home on Monday, December, 26 from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. and on Tuesday from 5:00 until 9:00 p.m. 
Friends will be received at the Barbourville Church of God on Wednesday from 12:00 noon until the hour of service 2:00
