Mrs. Hazel Hobbs age 62 of Flat Lick, KY departed this life on Wednesday, May 17, 2017 in the University of KY Medical Center. She was the wife of J.D. Hobbs and the daughter of William Hubbard and Lucy Jackson Hubbard born on July 2, 1954 in Barbourville, KY. Hazel believed in the Holiness faith and loved to go fishing and play bingo.

She is preceded in death by her parents, William and Lucy Hubbard, one brother, Dewey Hubbard,  two infant sisters, Linda and Kathleen, one grandchild Gracie Isabell Hobbs and two infant babies, Johnny and Lonnie Hobbs.

Left behind to mourn her passing, her loving husband J.D. Hobbs of Flat Lick, two sons, Gary Hobbs and wife Kathy and Steven Hobbs all of Flat Lick, one daughter, Shirl Honeycutt and husband Terry of Bimble, three brothers, Burchell Hubbard and wife Gladys of Barbourville, Bill Hubbard, Jr. of Artemus, Michael Hubbard of Himyar, six sisters, Irene Gray of Himyar, Selda Ray Tuttle and husband Sam of Davis Bend, Thelma Black of Himyar, Emma Gray and husband Roy, Lula Gambrel of McCreary Co., and Roberta Gray and husband Herman from Hwy 229, seven grandchildren, Terry Honeycutt, Jr., Tera Lynn Honeycutt, Tyler Dewayne Honeycutt, Briana Michelle Hobbs, Kassidy Rayne Hobbs, Kylie Rae Hobbs and Hunter Bevins, four great grandchildren, McKinley Faith Honeycutt, Noah Steven Honeycutt, Annabelle Grace Kysar and Gavin Hunter Kysar, special nurses, Lisa Lowery and Trina Keck. She also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.

Funeral services for Mrs. Hazel Hobbs will be conducted in the Cobb Hampton Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, May 23, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Nick Honeycutt officiating. Pallbearers will be family & friends. She will be laid to rest in the Hammons Cemetery at Flat Lick. Cobb Hampton Funeral Home will be in charge of all arrangements.

Friends will be received at the Cobb Hampton Funeral Home on Sunday evening from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. and on Monday from 2:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service at 2:00 p.m.
