Gaylon Woodrow Huling

Mr. Gaylon Woodrow Huling age 78 of Heidrick, KY departed this life on Sunday, August 27, 2017 at his home. He was the husband of Gladys Jean (Shepherd) Huling and the son of Jewell Huling born on November 25, 1938 in Sunbright, TN. He believed in the Baptist faith and had been in the construction business and had built houses for most of his life. He also served his country in the United States Navy. He enjoyed playing bluegrass music on the banjo but he also loved being with his grandchildren and family. He is preceded in death by his parents and two daughters, Beverly French and Kimberly Jordan.      

Left behind to mourn his passing, his loving wife of thirty-seven years, Jean Huling of Heidrick, two sons, Todd Huling and wife Gina of Maryville, TN and Tim Huling and wife Angie of Pell City, Alabama, two daughters, Terry Reynolds of Pigeon Forge, TN and Michele Ashwell and husband Donnie of Gray, KY, one sister, Vivian Hatcher and husband Fred of Friendsville, TN. He also leaves behind ten grandchildren and six great grandchildren along with a host of many other relatives and dear friends to mourn his passing.

Funeral services for Mr. Huling will be conducted in the Cobb Hampton Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday at 3:00 p.m. with Rev. Tommy Frazier officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be Chris West, Jonathan West, Aaron West, Preston Smith, Clyde Trent and all of his bluegrass friends.  

Friends will be received at the funeral home on Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of service at 3:00 p.m.
