Edward Hubbard

             Mr. Edward Hubbard age 81 of Barbourville, KY departed this life on Tuesday, April 11, 2017 in the Barbourville ARH. He was the widower of Wanda Mae (Nelson) Hubbard and the son of William and Mattie (Smith) Hubbard, born to them in Hammond, KY on January 10, 1936. He was a carpenter by trade and had worked for Treadway Brothers here in Barbourville for many years. He had also worked at Union College in the maintenance dept.  He also proudly served his country in the United States Army. He had attended Boone Height Holiness Church and he loved gardening, woodworking and family get togethers.

            He is preceded in death by his wife Wanda Mae Hubbard, his parents, William and Mattie Hubbard, his step mother Irene Hubbard, a daughter Patricia Brock, a son Johnny Hubbard, one brother, William Hubbard, Jr. and five sisters, Sally Carrillo, Cleo Hubbard, Mae Bulchak, Mary Hubbard, Marie Hubbard and brother, and Ernest Gray and his wife Lena.

            Left behind to mourn his passing, his loving sons, David Hubbard and wife Tonia of Artemus and Terry Hubbard and wife Stacy of Barbourville, one brother, Burl Gray and wife Rita of Milford, Michigan and one sister, Amanda Downing and husband Robert of Barbourville, one sister-in-law, Pam Hubbard of Davison, Michigan, many loving grandchildren, great- grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren along with many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

            Funeral services for Mr. Edward Hubbard will be conducted in the Cobb-Hampton Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, April 15, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Gary May and Rev. Ray Dean officiating. Pallbearers will be Freddy Brock, Robert Downing, Joshua Hubbard, Jason Simpson, Mike Hubbard and Billy Hubbard. He will be laid to rest in the Hinkle Branch Cemetery. Cobb-Hampton Funeral Home will be in charge of all arrangements.

Friends will be received at the Cobb-Hampton funeral Home on Thursday, from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m., on Friday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service at 2:00 p.m.
