Brilla (Broughton) Ramey

Ms. Brilla Ramey age 90 of Barbourville, KY departed this life on Sunday, August 13, 2017 at her home. She was born on October 5, 1926 in Knox Co., KY and was the daughter of Eli & Delora (Smith) Broughton. She was the widow of Albert Fred Ramey. She was a member of the Lincoln Park Baptist Church in Cincinnati. She loved gardening, growing her flowers and her vegetables and canning. 

Her parents and husband precede her in death along with two brothers, McKinley Broughton and James Marcum Broughton and one sister, Lila Albert.

Survivors include two sisters, Bobbie Lou Williamson of Hyde Park, Cincinnati and Vanetta Lee Lykins of Florence, KY. She also leaves behind several nieces, nephews and a host of many other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.

Funeral services for Ms. Brilla Ramey will be conducted in the Cobb Hampton Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, August 16, 2017 at 11:30 a.m. with Rev. Terry Broughton officiating. Pallbearers will be family & friends. Honorary pallbearers will be all her neighbors on Powell Drive, Barbourville ICU staff and two special boys, Jake & Max. She will be laid to rest beside her husband Albert in the Broughton Cemetery at Flat Lick, KY.

Cobb Hampton Funeral Home will be in charge of all arrangements.

The family will receive friends at the Cobb Hampton Funeral Home on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service at 11:30 a.m.
